Child Care Management Agency
Central Mississippi Planning and Development District, Inc., serves as the Child Care Management Agency (CCMA) or Designated Agent for the seven-county area including Copiah, Hinds,
Madison, Rankin, Simpson, Warren, and Yazoo. In this capacity, the District administers the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) certificate program through a contractual agreement
with the Mississippi Department of Human Services - Office for Children and Youth.
This program provides federal and state funding to low-income working families for assistance in meeting the cost of child care. This program enables low-income families an
opportunity to become or remain emloyed whereby enhancing their ability to achieve self-sufficiency. In assisting families to achieve self-sufficiency, the District is responsible
for recruiting service providers (Center-Based and Home-Based).
